This and subsequent footage, images and audio are part of an ongoing investigation into my relationship with the water and will form part of my final thesis, the chapters of which I will upload shortly. However, like trying to sit on a chair and set a table, talking is equally as hard as our normal noise making capacity involves the use of air, none of which is available under the water. This left me trying to swim whilst breathing and talking through a tube at the same time; every time I did this my face mask got a little fuller with very salty water.
The footage was filmed on my little digital camera, therefore is not very high quality. I have re-loaded the previous Day Pool footage in a better format so will also be a little clearer. These video clips may be re-done in the future when I can access a better camera and also perhaps isolating these ideas more, like the mask filling up or an image of just my mouth trying to breath and talk, emphasising the difference and difficulty of everyday tasks that we take for granted.
